Lifestyle Family Portraits in Port Orange & Volusia County
As a family photographer in Volusia County, I know that the best family photos don’t come from telling everyone to stand still and smile. They come from letting your family be your family — chasing each other around, laughing at something that only makes sense to you, the little one who can’t stop moving. My job is to be ready when those moments happen.
Family sessions with me are relaxed and low-pressure. I’m not working from a shot list — I’m watching for the real stuff. The hug that happens naturally. The look between siblings. The way your youngest runs to you. Those are the images that end up on your walls.
I photograph families throughout Volusia County — Port Orange, Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Deltona, and surrounding areas. Sessions happen at parks, neighborhoods, and outdoor locations that feel natural to your family. Beach sessions are available too — see the Beach Photography page for those.

What to Expect at Your Family Session
Sessions run 60 minutes. That’s enough time to work through different groupings — full family, just the kids, couples — without anyone feeling rushed. I typically move between two spots within the same location.
What to wear: Coordinated but not matchy-matchy. Neutral tones and soft colors photograph well together. Avoid busy patterns and bright logos. Layers and texture add visual interest without being distracting.
Location: I’ll suggest locations based on your session date and what you’re looking for — shaded parks, open fields, neighborhood settings, or anywhere that feels like your family. If you have a spot in mind, I’m open to it.
What’s delivered: 25+ fully edited images through a private online gallery within 7–10 business days. A print release is included — you can print anywhere you’d like.
Booking: A 50% deposit holds your date. The balance is due the day of the session.
Family Session FAQ
What’s the best age for kids at a session?
Any age works — I’ve photographed newborns, toddlers, teenagers, and everything in between. Toddlers and young kids are often the most fun because they keep things unpredictable. I work at their pace, not mine.
Can we include pets?
Yes — dogs are welcome at outdoor sessions. They add personality and usually make kids more relaxed. Just bring someone to hold the leash between shots.
How far in advance should I book?
At least 2–3 weeks for standard sessions. Fall and spring book quickly — if you have a specific date in mind, reach out sooner rather than later.
Why Family Portraits Matter
Kids change faster than you expect. The version of your family that exists right now — the ages, the dynamics, the way your youngest still reaches for your hand — won’t exist in two years. I’ve heard more clients say “I wish we had done this sooner” than the opposite. These sessions aren’t about having perfect photos for the wall. They’re about having something real to hold onto when time moves faster than you planned for it to. Booking a session now is the easiest way to make sure you have something to show for this exact chapter of your family’s life.
If you’re looking for a family photographer in Volusia County who keeps things relaxed and focuses on the real moments — not the posed ones — I’d love to work with your family. View pricing and packages or reach out directly to check availability for your date.
